We collect information you provide directly to us when you use the Cartoona app, such as photos you upload for processing. We may also collect usage data through standard analytics tools.

2. App Permissions

We define permissions for CAMERA to allow users to take photos for anime generation. This permission is used solely for capturing images within the app to apply our AI filters. We also request access to your photo library to allow you to select existing photos for processing.

3. User Content

When you use Cartoona, you may upload images (including selfies or photos containing faces) for AI-based image transformation. These images are processed solely to generate stylized or transformed outputs such as cartoon effects. You retain full ownership of the content you upload.

4. Face Data

Cartoona may process images that contain faces as part of its AI transformation features. The following explains how face data is handled:

• What face data we collect: We process images voluntarily uploaded by users that may contain facial features. We do not actively extract, isolate, or store biometric identifiers.
• How face data is used: Face data is used solely to generate stylized or cartoon-effect images as requested by the user. We do not use face data for identification or tracking purposes. We do not perform facial recognition, identification, profiling, or use face data for tracking or advertising purposes.
• Third-party sharing: Uploaded images may be transmitted to third-party AI processing services strictly for the purpose of image transformation. These services are bound by confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using the data for any other purpose. Face data is never sold or shared for marketing or advertising.
• Data storage and retention: Images are processed temporarily and are not permanently stored on our servers. Processed images are automatically deleted shortly after the transformation is completed. No face data is retained beyond the immediate processing window.

5. Data Usage

Photos and images uploaded to Cartoona are used solely for the purpose of applying the requested artistic effects. We do not use your photos or face data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded images are processed in real time and discarded from our servers immediately after processing is complete. We do not retain user-uploaded images or derived face data beyond the duration necessary to fulfill the transformation request.

7. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud AI processing providers), subject to strict confidentiality agreements. No face data is shared for marketing or advertising purposes.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access. All data transmissions are encrypted in transit.
